5 of 5 – Slieve Donard
5th of the 5 British Isles’ Peaks – Slieve Donard. Weather gods love us; mostly… Easy climbs. Windy wander & whistling walls. Quick downpour at the peak. Stunning sunny scenic return. Must go hill hiking!
4 of 5 – Carrauntoohil
Carrauntoohil: 4th of the 5 British Isles’ Peaks. Stunning Weather. A hard climb on the Devil’s Ladder. Amazing Views. Equally hard descent on Brother O’Shea’s Gully. Best mountain so far!
3 of 5 – Scafell Pike
Half term microadventure. Trains & bikes. The Lake District. Climb Scafell Pike. 3 Great British Peaks done. More on the horizon!
Climbing up Snowdon. Riding back from Snowdonia. Food woes lead to underground shows. Welsh hills interspersed with Osprey thrills. Gravel tracks and plenty of cake snacks. Watching a moonrise, spotting lots of butterflies. And finally up & over Gospel Pass.
From Glen to Ben and back again!
LEJOG continued… up Ben Nevis. More misty mountains. Terrible forecast. Grey morning. Clears quick. It is on. Up, up & up from the Glen. Sack of potatoes. On top of the UK at 1344m. Phone Mummy #braggingrights. Down, down, down. Peppermint tea with a straw in a GLASS!
