Warmley Station

Notes:
Facilities listed below unless stated otherwise in the specific event information.

Once part of the Midland Railway’s Mangotsfield to Bath Branch Line it was repurposed to become the Bristol & Bath Railway Path by the volunteer led ‘Cyclebag’ (becoming Sustrans); work commenced in 1978 and finally opened in 1985. It is now on a popular route linking the two cities with a traffic free path for leisure and commuting alike.

If the route involves starting on the Bristol & Bath Railway Path remember this is a shared path and that even first thing in the morning there will occasionally be other users, perhaps with a dog; so take your time, leave space for others to pass safely and remember there is the occasional bollard or barrier. For larger events I endeavour to set you off in smaller groups.

On the station platform is Warmley Waiting Room, a busy cafe with adjoining garden. They are kind enough to open early for events starting here. You can grab a hot drink and breakfast roll before you depart; please allow a little extra time upon arrival. A single toilet in the Tardis is available.

The adjoining public toilets should be open from 06:30 but depends on the council’s street cleaning team’s work load.

The following is being updated so some locations may not have all details yet.
